Shortly after the appointment of Elliot Brown as VP/GM of the Heritage Brands Group EMEA, Wolverine announced further modifications within its leadership team. The first announcement involves the company’s International Group, which takes care of Wolverine’s global expansion. James D. Zwiers has been appointed President of this group, a new role after 16 years with the company. Prior to this position, Zwiers has been president of the Performance Group, among many other leadership roles.

James A. Gabel will succeed Mr. Zwiers as President of the Performance Group, which includes the Merrell, Saucony, Chaco, Cushe and Patagonia footwear brands. The newcomer has previously worked as president of the adidas Group Canada.

Wolverine has also communicated that Andrew Simister will act as President of the company’s Lifestyle Group, which is comprised of Sperry Top-Sider, Hush Puppies, Keds and the Stride Rite Children's Group. Most recently, Mr. Simister was President of the Lacoste footwear brand for Pentland Brands and before he had also served in leadership roles for Puma. Both Mr. Gabel and Mr. Simister will report directly to Wolverine's Chairman and CEO Blake W. Krueger.

Finally, the company has also reported the retirement of William J.B. Brown, a 27-year veteran of Wolverine who was among other activities the first president of the International Group.
