High-end sportswear brand Woolrich John Rich & Bros. is set to open a mono-brand store in Munich’s Luitpoldblock just in time for Oktoberfest at the end of September. In the late 19th century the Luitpoldblock rose as a center of sophisticated living and is known today for its concentration of luxury shops. The 200 sqm store will be based on Briennerstraße and will carry the entire Woolrich offering, from outerwear to the main collection.
Henrik Soller of KuH Retail, franchisee partner for German Woolrich stores, commented, “Briennerstraße has developed into a high-end shopping street, hosting brands such as Missoni, Ertl Renz and Eduard Meier while avoiding boring, standard luxury. The Woolrich identity fits perfectly with the unique history of the Luitpoldblock”.
The Munich store will be Germany’s second, following a 2008 opening in Sylt. Hofmann & Losch will manage interior decor according to WP LAVORI's concept, similar to this month’s newly opened London boutique. Licensee WP LAVORI plans to open more stores in Germany in the near future.
