, inventor and leader of the online-flash-sales segment, has been chosen as “Pure Play Retailer” of the year by the World Retail Congress 2013.

For the seventh time the award ceremony took place by the Congress, honouring distributors acting exclusively in the online business. They promote innovation, variety and growth, and focus on the customer as well as the people behind the enterprise.

The grand jury awarded Pure Play Retailer to a company who could show a long-term development strategy, and who have pushed innovation in the last 12 months. According to the jury, continually offers new services to their 19 million members and 2000 partner brands. In 2012 the e-commerce specialist extended its offer by acquiring the entertainment, wine and travel segments of the Théâtre de Paris.
