Robert K. Shearer, senior vice president & chief financial officer (CFO) at North Carolina-based fashion giant VF Corporation, is going to retire in March 2015, after 28 years with the company. Shearer (62) joined VF in 1986 as assistant controller and was promoted to vice president controller in 1994. In 1998, he was designated vice president & CFO, a role that has been occupied until today. During the time that Shearer has practiced as CFO, VF’s revenues have more than doubled to $11.4 billion in 2013. The company’s share price has increased five-fold during the same period.

A successor has been already named: Scott A. Roe will assume the role as CFO as of March 2015, being responsible for leading global finance, tax, treasury and audit, among others. Roe is currently working as vice president, controller and chief accounting officer (CAO) and joined VF in 1996. He will report as CFO to Eric C. Wiseman, chairman, president and CEO of VF.
