The founders fill the small, intimate shop with in house brands like Counter Space interiors and Lady White Co clothing. Visitors are taken in by all senses. “When you walk through the doors you will embody the faint fragrance of Margates Haeckels natural incense, while noticing the beauty of Jean Arp artwork and one of a kind Story MFG. garments,” says Caruso.
The friendly, warmth is of four friends inviting other friends inside to see “well made products we honestly care for” says Caruso. “We try to seek new brands through our travel experiences. Being the only people to carry certain brands in the States, we like to house companies we can create strong relationships with. What better feeling than to project brands we truly admire from people we respect.”
County Ltd. customers become devoted to the house brands, discovering vintage finds and educating themselves about craftsmanship along the way. The rewards don’t stop there. “We have a range of promotions for people who sign up for our email list. Most of our events have been geared at showcasing certain brands or items. We like to have parties that people can enjoy, while taking away a bit of knowledge and inspiration,” says Caruso who uses social networking to get the store’s name out. Word of mouth has played a role along with a lot of media coverage of the formerly hidden gem.
