Japanese fast fashion retail chain Uniqlo is going to create a men’s and women’s collection together with Lemaire, French label led by former Hermès womenswear artistic director Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran. No image material of the clothing range has been revealed yet, but the collection promises to deliver the same clean-designed everyday garments that Lemaire is characterized by. The collection will be available worldwide in Uniqlo stores and online from fall/winter 2015.
Tadashi Yanai, CEO of Fast Retailing –holding company of Uniqlo-: “Lemaire’s approach to design respects individuality and merges perfectly with the Uniqlo lifewear philosophy, aimed at making life better. I myself am really looking forward to getting a glimpse of the results of our tie up, and am thrilled that we are able to bring it to our customers around the world.”
