Uniqlo, the global clothing retailer will open ten more stores in the US this fall. The company is planning to open three new stores in New York, two in New Jersey, one in Connecticut and four more in California. The new stores will expand the brand's US presence to a total of 17 stores in addition to the online shopping platform which opened in October 2012.

The new Uniqlo stores will be in shopping centres and retail spaces and will all carry the Uniqlo casual clothing for men, women and kids.

"Uniqlo is ready to take its next step in its US expansion by opening more smaller-format and mall stores in the regions surrounding our current flagship stores in Tri-State and Northern California regions," said Larry Meyer, COO of Uniqlo's USA business and Fast Retailing Group senior vice president. "Our goal is to continue to build brand awareness for new potential customers and greater loyalty from our fans with more convenient access to our high quality clothing and exceptional customer service."
