US sport label Under Armour celebrated the opening of its new German headquarter in Munich/Thalkirchen. Pushing forward its expansion within the German and Austrian market, the marketing and sales department of Under Armour is now located in the two-storied building on the former grounds of an old marshalling yard.

The brick wall architecture of the building is inspired by the US headquarter in Baltimore/Maryland. The headquarter contains workplaces and offices as well as a gym and an exterior workout area.

In addition, CEO and founder Kevin Plank announced the company’s strategy for the German-speaking market: Under Armour has signed an equipment contract with German soccer team FC St. Pauli as well as a sponsorship agreement with the Austrian Ski Federation.
