German sportswear brand Uncle Sam, which was founded in the 80’s by brothers Michael and Robert Geiss, has plans to bring its business back on top. To reach this goal, the company has searched new licensees and invested in a 2,200-sqm commercial property in Cologne that will now house its showroom and headquarters under one roof.

The new space is set to open in spring 2013 and will display the brand’s entire offering with all licensees including sportswear, footwear, socks, sleepwear, home textiles, watches, hardware sporting goods, belts and bags. Further plans include opening distribution channels also to stores and chains as well as gaining more licensees for cosmetics and for foreign countries. CEO Michael Geiss stated: "This year we were busy looking for new licensees and partners; next year we’ll focus on creating Uncle Sam’s unique brand portfolio.”
