This month United Nude, founded by Rem D. Koolhaas and Galahad Clark in 2003, will open four pop-up stores across Europe; two in London, one in Paris and the last in Madrid. They will each hold a variety of the brand's signature styles as well as new and exclusive models.
Exhibitions will accompany the Parisian Galeries Lafayette and London's Selfridges Shoe Galleries pop-up stores. A selection of classics, prototypes and unique projects will be displayed at the former, including the exclusive Iris van Herpen x United Nude shoes. Meanwhile at Selfridges, which boasts the world's largest shoe department, Dutch graffiti artist Niels Shoe Meulman will kick off the pop-up with a live performance and a selection of Shoe x United Nude artwork sold only at that specific location.
The Madrid and other London locations will open up in the heart of the city's fashion centers. The Paris Pop-Up will be open February 20 through March 20, Selfridges February 23 through April 1, Madrid's Coello Street spot February 28 through July 31, and London's Brompton Road location through December 31. Koolhaus elatedly said, “It’s already an exciting year for us. We kicked off with two successful couture footwear collaborations, one with Iris van Herpen and one with Mattijs van Bergen, and are now opening four pop-up stores in Europe at the same time!”
