As of today, the new designer capsule collection Uniqlo +J by the Japanese fast-fashion retailer is available in approximately 90 stores worldwide as well as on the company’s website. Uniqlo +J was created in collaboration with the German fashion designer Jil Sander and consists of outerwear, denim, shirts, cut & sew, knitwear and other goods. The collection will also be offered in the new megastore in Paris that opens today. The new global flagship store, the Paris Opera Store, is 2,150 sq. meters is size and was designed by the Japanese starchitect Masamichi Katayama (Wonderwall). The store is situated on Rue Scribe, close to the world famous department stores Galeries Lafayette and Le Printemps. “Establishing a global flagship store in Paris, the center of world fashion, will be a big step towards entering the European market and making Uniqlo a global brand,” said Tadashi Yanai, CEO of Uniqlo’s parent enterprise, Fast Retailing. In addition to Uniqlo Paris, the retailer has stores in London and New York. Uniqlo offers casualwear for both men and women at affordable prices and is known for its fashion basics and range of bright colors.
