Fast Retailing USA, Inc. has signed a lease for a 8,300-sq.-meter space at 666 Fifth Avenue in New York City. While no opening date has been given yet for Uniqlo’s second Manhattan store that is more than double the size of its first store on Broadway in SoHo, Bloomberg is reporting that the Japanese retailer agreed to pay $300 million over 15 years for the space. Just a little less than two weeks ago, the company announced plans to open a 39,000-sq.-foot, three-story flagship store on Nanjing Road in Shanghai on May 15, following openings in Moscow, London, Paris and New York.
