Following a huge fashion show commemorating 20 years in the business, rumors are flying that Martin Margiela is ready to leave his namesake house for other projects. According to Suzy Menkes from the International Herald Tribune and Women's Wear Daily, two designers have been in talks to replace Margiela. Although Renzo Rosso, CEO of Diesel Group, Margiela’s owner since 2002, has denied the claim, he did suggest the collection had been created by a design team and not Margiela, who allegedly has been working on special projects. Margiela, who never gives interviews, has been mum till now. That said, rumors that Raf Simons would replace Margiela are also being disputed, ever since the Belgian designer extended his contract with Jil Sander.
