The denim trend preview for f/w 2014/15 already revealed that skinny and boyfriends silhouettes remain the strongest trend in the womenswear segment and slim and skinny fits become the most important silhouettes in the menswear segment. But what about leading trends for washings? Here the industry and designers give us a preview what to expect next winter.

Edwin de Rooij, PME Legend:
"Denim washings on non-denim styles and more outspoken structures in denim like herringbone, broken twill although we see this as a minor trend. The majority of the washes still have a natural look & feel."

Sonya Bachra-Byrne, Only:
"Vintage washing, acid washing, destroys with knee focus, spray coatings."

Nina Cavkic, Blue Fire Co.: "Authentic, special washings and destroyed denim remain strong, but cleaner and darker rinsed washings in indigo and colors are also important."

Sharleen Ernster Lazear, GUESS:
"There will be a return to original denim and vintage washes also with destroyed and ripped effects. Military and street wear will be key inspirations for the denim range."

Luisa Traina, Vero Moda:
"Washed denim, soft denim resemebling jersey, Denim moving into softer qualities seeing denim trenches, and new feminine shapes coming through."
