Denim Premiere Vision, the specialized denim trade show, will celebrate its 10th anniversary at its 20th edition, which will take place in Paris on November 14-15, 2017. Held in two locations this time, the show will offer a series of new events. “For this edition we have organized a great Denim Bash and a highly experiential occasion,” says Chantal Malingrey, director, Denim Premiere Vision.
The show will take place in two spots at the same time–in its usual location, at the Paris Event Center, and in the show’s first pop-up street venue in Le Marais. “These two parallel events want to serve at best the globally evolving denim market. We want to involve a wider group of insiders including pure denim specialists, but also fashion-minded insiders as we want to work with avant-garde fashion designers, but also with those interested in tailor-made and personalized products, according to most recent evolutions,” she explains.
The Denim Pop-Up Street event will take place in rue du Vertbois (n ° 14 - 30) in the heart of the Marais. It will inaugurate on the evening of the first day of the show, on November 14 at 7:00 pm, and it will be open to the public November 15 and 16.
For the occasion, Denim PV has partnered with eight young fashion brands designed by upcoming international talents–Knorts (Los Angeles), Fade Out Label (Berlin), Ampersand Heart NY (New York), Tiia Maria Jaakkola (Copenhagen), Afterhomework (Paris), Hannah Brabon (London), Savoar-Fer (Paris) and Proêmes de Paris (Paris)–who will show and sell their own collections at the off-show location. At the same time, in the main show venue, these same designers will also unveil two total look outfits each they designed by employing fabrics and accessories from Denim PV exhibitors and interpreting s/s 2019 trends.
The Paris Event Centre will host many initiatives including eight workshops and conferences around key topics of the industry. Some will be moderated by Pascal Montfort, a fashion consultant specialized in sports and lifestyle who previously worked for Nike as consumer culture and innovation manager. Others will be moderated by Fabio Adami Dalla Val, an expert denim insider and business development manager at Premiere Vision.
