This summer's Copenhagen fashion events will happen one week later than initially planned.
The decision to move fashion week from 4-7 August to 9-12 August was made based on a collaboration between Copenhagen Fashion Week, the trade fairs CIFF and Revolver, and the industry organizations Dansk Fashion & Textile (DM&T) and Wear, as has just been announced in an official press statement.
One extra day will be added to the schedule in order to make also the visit of the trade shows as smooth as possible for both brands and visitors and at the same time meet regulations.
"Maintaining the dates in the beginning of August is a decisive advantage [...], which is why we're very pleased to announce the new dates," states Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week.
At the same time with the announcement, further news have been unveiled by the fashion trade shows:
CIFF–taking again place at Bella Center–will be hosting its CIFF Showrooms Order Days from August 2-14, giving buyers individual access to several brands located on the first and second floor.
Meanwhile, Revolver is planning to offer a Plug and Play solution and deliver all brands the same design of rails, tables, chairs, shelves and signs. This way, the organizers want to reduce cost to a minimum for exhibitors. Booth sizes will still vary though.
Revolver will also present new digital initiatives: One is a digital calendar system that in combination with Revolver’s registration site, shall help both the trade show and the brands to control flow and traffic and also ensure that Revolver complies with any restrictions on the amount of assembly.
Likewise, in collaboration with e-commerce sales platform Traede, Revolver has developed a ‘digital showroom’ for each brand giving buyers the opportunity to browse the collections online.
