The next edition of EuroShop is about to start: from 5 to 9 March 2017, the platform, discussion forum and creative hub for the entire retail sector will take place at Messe Düsseldorf. With over 127,000 square meters of net exhibition space, 18 halls and 2,350 exhibitors from 61 countries, EuroShop 2017 will be the biggest in its 50-year history. EuroShop 2017 expects 110,000 visitors from all over the world.
For this edition, EuroShop 2017 comes up with a new concept. EuroShop’s previous 4-area structure — the division into the segments EuroConcept, EuroSales, EuroExpo, and EuroCIS — is replaced by a sophisticated system of the future that is divided into seven experience dimensions: POP Marketing, Expo & Event Marketing, Retail Technology, Lighting, Visual Merchandising, Shop Fitting & Store Design and FoodTech & Energy Management.
Digitalization in retail is one of the main themes at EuroShop 2017, as in future retailers will have to dovetail the various channels in such a way that their products and services guarantee ultimate convenience across all channels and fun for shoppers. Here storytelling is the key – be it in architecture, design, lighting or the incorporation of the latest digital media in shop fitting – all of this must follow a consistent plot to give shoppers that certain kick. Furthermore, there is a clear trend in the staging of brands – namely to incorporate their history or make local references to reflect their great authenticity and uniqueness, as a company release explained.
EuroShop´s line-up of exhibitors is complemented by different forums presented on all five exhibition days. These include the EuroShop Forum Architecture & Design, the EuroCIS Forum, the POPAI-Forum and the OmniChannel Forum as well as the ECOpark Forum and the new Expo & Event Forum. All forums are simultaneously translated from/into German and English and can be attended by trade visitors free of charge and without prior registration.
