Kingpins New York is ready for the kick-off of its next edition on 10-11 May 2017. The show, taking place at Pier 36-Basketball City, 299 South Street, in New York, will host about 85 exhibitors, following a similar growth trend it had experienced for its recently closed Amsterdam edition.
The event will disclose novelties for denim, accessories and fiber manufacturers but also garment manufacturers and finishers, focusing on new trends for the f/w 2018 season.
A series of informative seminars will take place in the venue throughout the two-day show. On 10 May, at 11.30am and on 11 May at 11am, they will hold the “Denim Trends for f/w 2018 - Fit, fabric, finish” seminar presented by Amy Leverton, Denim Dudes.
Two more presentations will complete the offer of the show. On 10 May, at 1.30pm, they will hold the “Around the Denim World in 80 Days” session by Invista. From September to November 2016, the global fiber and fabric company conducted a research across five countries aimed at learning consumers’ perspectives on jeans – what they love, what frustrates them, and what they want to see in the future. The presentation will disclose fresh insights, including video clips shot by consumers themselves.
On 11 May, at 1.30pm they will hold the conference “Denim Fit - Can a Solution be Found?” organized by Alvanon. Don Howard, Alvanon's executive director, will explain how customers' wearing needs and fit preferences are evolving. The conference wants to explain what a brand can do to meet consumers’ needs and how technology and data can help achieve a better fit.
Among the many events the show will also hold an after party on 10 May 2017, at the end of the first day of the show within Kingpins’ New York fairground location.
