New York Fashion Week Men’s launched last Monday with the fourth edition of New York Men’s Day–a two-part “one-stop, under-one-roof ” event that showcases the collections of six up-and-coming labels in the morning and six more later that afternoon. The brainchild of Erin Hawker and her crackerjack team at her firm Agentry PR, this must-attend happening had a new, gorgeous home at Dune Studios in the Financial District this time and once again featured the best of contemporary menswear.

While each of the dozen NYMD featured labels shone, our favorites this go-round included the politically charged presentations at By Robert James and Wood House and the on-point retro-inspired denim looks from Kozaburo, the raw-edged ones at Private Policy and the street-friendly basketball-inspired collection of Los Angeles–based Bristol.
