US singer Beyoncé Knowles and British high street brand Topshop have founded a new athletic streetwear brand together. The new company ‘Parkwood Topshop Athlectic Ltd.’ is a 50/50 joint venture between the two parties.

The line shall be launched in fall 2015. It shall include clothing, footwear and accessories in the activewear category (dance, fitness and sports) and will be distributed via selected Topshop stores and but also at other retailers and department stores such as, possibly, Nordstrom.
No details about the line’s name, office location and involved designers have been revealed or decided on yet.

"We have been looking at this category as fashion inspired fitness develops, and know that this is right in our customers' heartland. [...] We have much to achieve in just under a year, but we are all up for the challenge, and look forward to delivering athletic street-wear in an inventive and exciting way”, said Topshop owner Sir Philip Green.

The Beyoncé x Topshop label could mark Topshop’s entrance into the currently booming ath-leisure market, encompassing products which are technically equipped to actually be worn during a workout but also suit for leisuretime wear.
