Mariano Alonso has been appointed as Timberland’s Vice President Sales for the EMEA region. This new designation follows last week’s changes at senior executive level. Reporting to Timo Schmidt-Eisenhart, Timberland’s President EMEA, Alonso is going to build up and implement sales strategies to drive the business across all EMEA wholesale and distributors markets. The aim is to achieve the 17x17 plan that Timberland’s holding company, VF Corporation, announced in June 2013.

Timo Schmidt-Eisenhart on Mariano Alonso: “He is customer focused and has experience fueling brand-enhancing sales growth. Two key characteristics we are looking for at Timberland as we step up the business.”

Prior to his new role, Mariano Alonso collected sales strategy experiences in companies such as Camper and Nike. "There is a great vibe around Timberland today. It is a strong and inspiring brand and the opportunity to participate in its future growth is the perfect challenge for me” he states in regard of his naming.
