German clubwear and fashion brand VSCT is in new hands: Alexander Mory, head of design at VSCT Clubwear and for seven years also responsible for buying and sourcing in his position as brand manager, has taken over the VSCT brand, including all brand, licensing and patent rights from Topaz Textile Handels GmbH based in Düsseldorf. With this step, Mory fulfills a long-term desire of his. “Since 1999, VSCT is my entire heart blood. Needless to say that I always wanted to operate the brand completely self-directed”, explains Mory. 

Since beginning of September the brand is developed and distributed by the newly founded company Wear Your Identity GmbH that is directed by Mory as CEO, headquartered in Hamburg. Executive assistant is Christine Grix, who has been working with the brand for over fifteen years now. Sales employees will be retained, but also new appointments are planned.

Design-wise the brand will offer collections that are generally more differentiated and with an expanded denim program. Additionally, a new distribution system and a new order-rhythm will be implemented: the classical pre-orders will be enhanced with flash collections with short-term delivery as well as capsule collections and NOS playing a major role. Mory: “The order-rhythm should be more flexible, the terms of orders should be shortened in general, and with these changes we meet the needs of our long-term customers.”

Also on the agenda is expansion for Mory: “We have many inquiries from abroad, so we are going to strengthen our sales force internationally. We are already in negotiations with importers and foreign distribution agencies.”
