Within the latest edition of Denim by PV, on 22 May 2013, TRC Candiani celebrated its 75th anniversary with a special event and party held on the boat La Baleine Blanche along the Seine River in Paris.

The event presented a retrospective of photos of the family business started in 1938 when Luigi Candiani started a small production of work-wear fabrics in a tiny town near Milan. His son Primo converted the weaving facility into a Denim mill and passed it on to his first-born Gianluigi who created the fabrics that contributed the growth of the Premium Denim Industry. Today his son Alberto is leading the mill into the new millennium, focusing on green technology denim as well as high-research premium denim products.

The retrospective was completed by presenting 75 pairs of tiny jeans made with some of the company's most successful denims and by the launch of a new initiative - The Golden Rivet.
TRC Candiani, whose company name will be changed into Candiani Denim from now on, wants to promote itself and give the brands that use their top-quality denims the opportunity to add special labelling and a unique golden rivet applied on the right side of the garment. Aim of the project is to inform the consumer about the top quality Made in Italy material that pair of jeans is made and let them understand the reasons for the higher retail prices of that specific denim garment.
