Cologne has a new attraction. On Mar. 19, Tommy Hilfiger Europe opened its largest European flagship store in Cologne, Germany, on the main shopping street of Schildergasse.

“I am extremely pleased to elevate our brand’s European positioning with the opening of our largest flagship in Germany,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “The design elements and product offering in the store reflect the aspirational yet attainable aspects of the brand.”

The flagship store offers the latest collections for men, women and children throughout three floors covering an impressive total of 987 sq. meters. While the ground floor showcases the latest collections of men’s sportswear, tailored, bodywear, footwear, bags and accessories presented in a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere, the main sportswear area combines rich materials, from dark ash to lighter walnut wood fixtures, and an ebony stained oak floor leading into a more traditional tailored area with a darker “Gentleman’s Club”-inspired feel.

Following a sweeping staircase onto the first floor, womenswear is offered in a feminine yet chic environment. This floor incorporates individually designed rooms for various sections of the collection, ranging from sportswear, runway and evening attire to bodywear, with additional rooms dedicated to footwear, accessories and bags.

In the basement, the latest Hilfiger Denim and childrenswear collections are found in adjacent rooms. The Hilfiger Denim area features a rougher and cooler atmosphere with a heightened appeal in comparison to previous stores. The stripped oak floor and exciting new graphics aim to foreground the essence of the music scene, embracing the brand’s strong connections to its New York heritage.

Current freestanding Tommy Hilfiger stores are located in London, New York, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Barcelona, Stockholm, Vienna, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, St. Tropez, Istanbul, Antwerp, Munich, Athens, Madrid and Miami, among others.

“We are very proud to present the Cologne store to the German market,” added Fred Gehring, Tommy Hilfiger Group CEO. “It is a significant move in our efforts to further anchor the Company’s position in Europe, offering our consumers the complete Tommy Hilfiger experience.”
