German company Tom Tailor is expanding its presence in Eastern Europe by entering the Polish market. The first retail store opened its doors in the shopping center in Szczecin. By the end of the year, the company plans to open another five stores in shopping centers in Gliwice, Krakow, Poznan and Wroclaw and establish its two brand concepts Casual and Denim in the Polish market.

“With our expansion to Poland, we are entering into a highly attractive new market. Poland has a robust economy and a healthy consumer climate,” says CEO Dieter Holzer. The company is planning to open further stores in 2012. Holzer continues: “We are convinced that we will be able to develop our retail and with it also our whole business in Poland.” The lifestyle company will be concentrating on shopping centers. Tom Tailor currently operates a total of 66 stores in Eastern Europe.
