Munich-based Timberland World Trading GmbH, the German arm of footwear and apparel company The Timberland Co. has appointed Silke Hochhauser to the newly created role of brand marketing manager Central Europe to push forward the strategic development of its brands in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The 36-year-old is also responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies, in-store communication, visual merchandising and training programs.

Hochhauser, who is long experienced in brand management for companies such as Swarovski and S.Oliver, will be in charge of the core Timberland brand, as well as the premium brands Timberland Boot Company and Abington, the Welsh brand Howies, the skater brand IPATH, and the merino wool brand SmartWool. She reports to Fouad Gross, commercial director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at Timberland.
