The upcoming January edition is extended by one day and in the future will start simultaneously to Bread & Butter and Lavera Showfloor Berlin. As a reason for skipping the summer edition, Gereon Pilz, initiator of the fair, stated: “The early summer date of Berlin Fashion Week is a challenge for many of the ambitioned international eco fashion designers, especially for the labels from the Mediterranean area and South America the date is simply hard to manage.”

In addition, the format of the show is to be relaunched to create an event which is more market-driven. Moreover, a media campaign together with Showfloor Berlin and GreenShowroom, organized by the Berlin Senate for the Eco Fashion Week Berlin was postponed until January. Part of the relaunch will be the fact that companies will have the possibility to realize their own corporate design in case the booths correspond to the ecological standards of Furthermore, the collaboration with Lavera Showfloor Berlin is to be intensified. Gereon Pilz: “We are concentrating the competences and thus are giving eco fashion an efficient and successful platform.”
