Outdoor apparel, equipment and footwear brand The North Face has recently announced that Oliver Lang will take over as Vice President Product EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). Lang will be responsible for the region's product development and will report to the company's EMEA VP/General Manager Timo Schmidt-Eisenhart, who remarked, "With Oliver’s solid product and retail experience, he will be a key driver for our future success in meeting our end consumer needs. He will take it to the next level, leading the brand forward with breakthrough innovation and authentic core consumer key focus whilst continuing to fine-tune quality superior protection."

Lang is based in Lugano at VF International's corporate heardquarters and leads a team of development, category and product managers. His main duties include developing the brand to meet the needs of target consumers and market requirements in terms of price, distribution and brand positioning within his assigned region. His previous work experiences include 11 years as Business Unit Apparel manager at IIC in Bern and 12 years as Head of Buying at Karstad Sports HQ in Essen.
