Barcelona is gearing up to host a new fashion fair, The Brandery Post Fashion Circus, from Jul. 7-9 at Montjuic.

The new event, organized by Fira Barcelona, will take place twice a year with the support of the Barcelona City Council and expects to gather about 250 national and international brands.

During the presentation ceremony, Jordi Hereu, Mayor of Barcelona, pointed out that this is a “personal project that would help Barcelona become a reference point for international trade fairs in contemporary fashion.”

Josep Lluis Bonet, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fira Barcelona, added: “It is a project born out of the fashion sector and with the sector.”

The new trade show will host different brand categories within the exhibiting space: The Cathedral will present designer brands; The Loft, brands with a more fashion-forward/trendy flair; The Warehouse, denim-based brands; and The Outerspace, streetwear brands and sneakers. The fair’s management has yet to announce exhibitors’ names.
