Italian young women’s casual brand Subdued, produced by Italian company Osit Impresa, has registered €41 million sales in 2013, 20% more than the €34 million reached in 2012. The company’s EBITDA was about 17% and is expected to remain stable in 2014. In 2014 they expect further growth and to reach about €45-47 million revenues.
The company is also focusing on expanding its retail network, both in Italy and abroad, by opening new stores and enlarging or redesigning the already existing ones.
In the first months of 2014, they redesigned the Palermo and Bologna stores and opened a new one in Cortina in via 29 maggio 3. Next goals for the rest of the year include the inauguration of new stores in Rome (via Stoppani, in the Parioli area), Catania, Verona, Pavia and the redesigning of the already existing Turin store.
Regarding foreign markets, the company has opened its first store in Amsterdam, in Van baerlestraat 3, in mid April to be followed by a second opening in the same city in Leiserstraat 37, on 17 May. On 10 May a new store will open its doors in Barcelona, in Rambla Catalunya 118. Other openings are still to be defined even if most likely the next ones are presumed to be in Munich and Madrid.
“We are very happy about the results we have reached, especially in such a difficult economic and historic moment,” commented Alessandro Orsini, CEO, Osit Impresa. “The targets we reached are pushing us to pursue our growth strategy not only through new openings but also by enlarging and updating our own industrial premises. In fact we acquired a new 5,000 sqm structure for managing our logistic operations. Thanks to these operations we will be able to provide our stores always newer, faster and more frequent fashion-driven products and replenishments.”
Further investments for 2014 will be implemented through an upgrade of the company’s IT systems, the recruiting of new resources, especially focusing on foreign sales.
