Sportswear brand Nike has been the most popular brand among German teens aged between 14 and 17 years in 2016. Brandmeyer brand consulting has determined the sportswear brand’s success with teenagers, while Nike is abreast of Adidas, when it comes to the average German.
The representative telephone interview in October 2016 revealed that Nike and Adidas share the same popularity among those 3000 Germans polled. Adidas ruled as favorite German brand for many years, but Nike has kept up the pace and became equally popular in a short time. Especially women and teenagers make up for the brand’s increasing popularity. German men still tend to prefer Adidas.
