British designer Stella McCartney follows in the footsteps of Marc Jacobs to become the second high profile patron for the junior award "Designer for Tomorrow by Peek&Cloppenburg Düsseldorf" in 2013.

“I'm looking forward to supporting the young fashion talents and I'm curious about all the applications and the potential that we can expect,“ says the British designer about her new involvement. From all the candidates McCartney will pick ten favourites and will have a closer look at their collections in May in Berlin. With the whole jury she will than finally decide, which designer will be the winner.

The Designer for Tomorrow will be the 4th contest of P&C Düsseldorf. "With Stella McCartney we won a great supporter. Her perspective and her long-standing experience will further strengthen the young designers, the supporting programme and its diversity," says John Cloppenburg, member of the management of Peek & Cloppenburg KG, Düsseldorf and part of the jury at DfT-Award.
