One can only hope that the fashion on display is as hot as the projected temperatures in Las Vegas this week (highs are supposed to reach 41 degrees Celsius). All the major fairs open today and take place at three major locations across the city, so Vegas promises to be both very busy and style-driven for the next three days. To make your trip easier, here is an alphabetical guide to the must-attend shows there.

When: Monday, August 19, 9-6 and Tuesday, August 20, 9-6

Where: Sands Expo, Hall D, 201 Sands Ave.

What: Welcome to Vegas! This long-running exhibition of streetwear and action-sports brands with editions in SoCal and NYC debuts its Sin City edition today. Aligned with the Modern Assembly group of shows at The Sands/Venetian, the two-day will have approximately 187 exhibitors that reflect the crème de la crème of this sector. Expect the same professionalism, excitement and fun that you find at Agenda’s Long Beach and New York editions.

Who: Agenda’s broad selection includes established labels such as 10 Deep, LRG, Obey Clothing, Rvcam Vans, WeSC and Zoo York along with numerous up-and-comers.

When: Monday, August 19, 9-6 and Tuesday, August 20, 9-6

Where: The Venetian, Fifth Floor Ballroom, 3355 S. Las Vegas Blvd.

What: This show featuring high-end contemporary brands, independent designers and premium streetwear labels has a new venue this go-round and will feature approximately 250 exhibitors. Also part of the Modern Assembly alliance, Capsule will again showcase outdoor-themed brands in its Above Tree Line section and feature the popular cash-and-carry area called Donut Shop.

Who: For denim, Baldwin, Big John, Gilded Age, Japan Blue, Lee 101, Momotaro Jeans, Naked & Famous and Natural Selection are must-sees. Footwear is also well represented with everyone from Eastland and Clae to PSKaufmann and Pointer.

When: Monday, August 19 through Wednesday, August 21

Where: Sands Expo Venetian/Palazzo, 201 Sands Ave.

What: Arguably the most anticipated show of the season, Liberty makes its Las Vegas debut this season with a roster of impressive, innovative brands that have been curated by Sam Ben-Avraham and his team. The show, which features uniform booths made from foldable cardboard, also has The Foundry section of Made in USA brand and a center relaxation area called Liberty Park. Liberty too is part of the Modern Assembly group of shows at the Sands and an opening night party will be held at Tao from 10pm to 4am.

Who: The brand new show has attracted big names such as G-Star Raw, Ben Sherman and John Varvatos, among many others. New brands there include military-inspired Cadet and Original Jams, a relaunch of the brand that was best known a few decades ago for its surf-inspired shorts.

When: Monday, August 19 9-7 and Tuesday, August 20 through Wednesday, August 21 9-6

Where: Las Vegas & LVH Convention Centers, 3150 Paradise Rd.

What: The center for the bulk of womenswear being displayed in Vegas this week, the shows at the Convention Centers are WWDMAGIC, FN Platform (footwear), Sourcing at MAGIC (global supply-chain resources) and WSA@MAGIC (fast/affordable footwear and sourcing). Better/contemporary women’s brands can be found at ENKVegas at Mandalay Bay. David Cassidy will perform a special live concert on the FN Platform floor tonight at 6:30 pm.

Who: The massive selection will encompass everyone from Betsey Johnson and Baby Phat to Spanx and Vince Camuto.

When: Monday, August 19 9-6:30, Tuesday, August 20 9-6, Wednesday August 21 9-4

Where: The Venetian Hotel

What: Business Journals Inc.’s MRket show, now also part of Modern Assembly, returns to Vegas with an assortment of menswear that includes special sections devoted to Italian and British brands.

Who: Although the majority of exhibitors at MRket offer items that are more on the dressy/traditional side, the Vanguards Gallery section curated by Michael Macko will feature 10 brands this season. Especially impressive ones include Barque, Hook & Albert and the shoe brand Well Bred.

When: Monday, August 19 and Tuesday, August 20 9-6; Wednesday, August 21 9-5

Where: Mandalay Bay Convention Center, 3950 S. Las Vegas Blvd.

What: With the exception of ENKVegas (contemporary womenswear) and Pool (fresh faces in fashion and art), the Mandalay Bay Convention center houses all the men’s-only shows that are a part of MAGIC Market Week. These include Project, The Tents at Project (better/designer menswear), Project MVMNT (streetwear) and MAGIC Men’s (classic menswear).

Who: There are far too many exhibitors to mention them all by name but The Tents at Project last season was the jewel in the crown at Mandalay Bay. Be sure to visit it and check out Mother Freedom there, a new high-end Made in the USA menswear brand that is already getting well-deserved hype.
