International shoe and accessories trade show GDS goes into its 121th edition. From 10-12 February, 2016, over 800 brands will showcase their collections and present the trends for Fall/Winter 2016 to an international audience.
Simultaneously, tag it! – The Private Label Show will take place in hall 1 for the fourth time offering visitors and buyers a chance to take a look at private labels originating from Asia.
GDS is again dominated by three lifestyle worlds – Highstreet, Studio and Pop Up – all reflecting the whole range between urban and classic models in shoes and accessories.
American manufacturer Timberland will show at GDS in the Highstreet area for the first time, supporting the international importance of the fair. G-Star will return to the Pop Up area in hall 10. The Studio area will be expanded through new brands such as Oliver Sweeney and bag brand Another Bag. Further brands include established brand Lyle&Scott, Rockland and Via Scarpa.
Just like at the last edition in July 2015, GDS bets on its installment “Digital Craft”, which focuses on 3D-technologies, and further develops it for February 2016. Other trends the trade show focuses on are “Sustainable Materials” and “Wearables”. Hall 5 will then be used as a trend spot where visitors can check out seasonal trends for 2016.
