As of November, 33-year-old Sven Bürkle was appointed to head of marketing in a newly created position at Kangaroos. Part of the company’s brand shift, Bürkle’s promotion is a strategic step towards the tightening of the label’s profile. Bürkle now reports directly to Julia C. Hummel, managing director of Kangaroos.

The management expert, who comes with extensive advertising experience, previously served as deputy marketing division manager for the purchasing association Sport 2000 Deutschland, where he was responsible for the development and execution of cross-media campaigns and trade marketing.

At Kangaroos, Bürkle will account for the progression and execution of new brand strategies and holistic, integrated marketing campaigns as well as the conception and supervision of seasonal marketing activities.
