Stephan Krug, the European General Manager of Collective Brands’ performance and lifestyle group, is leaving the company on his own accord after four years on March 31. His responsibilities extended to Saucony, Keds, Sperry, Top-Sider and Stride Rite. The 48-year-old manager formerly worked for Timberland, Clarks and Wolverine World Wide. The recently appointed International Director Dan Brausch, Lexington from the US will take over Krug’s role until a new General Manager is found. For the German speaking countries Michael Schmitz, sales manager for the lifestyle brands within the company group, will stand in in the interim. Krug leaves the company at the time when the European office and the sales headquarters, which Krug had significantly helped to establish in the Netherlands, are moving to a bigger office. Collective Brands said business is running well with a double-digit turnover.
