Universal Music Group has appointed Stefan Sommer as new Sales Director Fashion Retail. From July 1, 2011, Sommer will be responsible for supervising sales and distribution of Universal subsidiary Bravado in the fashion division, as well as acquiring new leading fashion trade partners. He will also be in charge of English trend label Amplified and pushing its development, together with marketing agency P4 and fashion producer Fresh Air.

Stefan Sommer comes from Lee Jeans, where he was Sales and Marketing Director for the countries Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The trained retail salesman and business graduate has been working for different sports- and fashion brands, such as Converse and Ellesse. In his new position, he succeeds Mokhtar Benbouazza’s, who left the company and is now Head of Marketing at S.Oliver.
