The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced the first-ever menswear designers who have been awarded the spring/summer 2013 Fashion Forward sponsorship. The winners, Christopher Shannon, E. Tautz, J.W. Anderson and James Long, who received the sponsorship last season, will show their collections this June at the inaugural London Collections: Men.

Prizes include a monetary allotment as well as business support from the BFC. Fashion Forward, aimed at helping fund emerging British design talent, is now in its sixth year and is supported by the Mayor of London. Caroline Rush, CEO of British Fashion Council, commented, “With the upcoming launch of the inaugural London Collections: Men, we felt the time was right to increase showcasing and business support to this incredibly talented group of young menswear designers, ensuring we support them through the next stage of their businesses. We’re delighted to be awarding Fashion Forward sponsorship to four of London’s menswear designers to show this June.”
