The eighth Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will be cordially inviting guests to Bebelplatz in Berlin-Mitte for the last time from January 19-22. The new location for July will be announced during the forthcoming event. Last July, approximately 40 shows and presentations were organized under the roof of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, and organizer IMG is expecting a similar number to be on hand this season. The show schedule combines a large number of on-site and off-site shows. Participants include Escada Sport, Guess, Lena Hoschek, Dimitri, Patrick Mohr, Lala Berlin, Kilian Kerner, Schumacher, Dawid Tomaszewski, Laurél, Rena Lange, Allude, Perret Schaad, Kaviar Gauche, Parsival Cserer and Michalsky.

“We are delighted that important labels such as Rena Lange or Kaviar Gauche will be showing with us, however, in the future, we will also focus strongly on young talents. A further aspect that is noticeable this season is the interest of buyers from abroad. We have enquiries about our Berlin collection from New York right through to Tokyo and Sydney. That of course is fantastic,” says Maia Guarnaccia, Vice President of IMG Fashion, Europe.

This is the first time that a show with designers from the Baltic has been part of the official program in the tent at Bebelplatz. Under the patronage of Usedom Baltic Fashion, different labels from various countries located in the Baltic region will present themselves. The Swedish design scene will also be a guest at Bebelplatz billed as Swedish Fashion Goes Berlin – the Swedish Institute Stockholm will hold a group show with the three designers Camilla Norrback, Diana Orving and Ida Sjöstedt.
