Copenhagen will open the doors for the fashion world again. In addition to Fashion Week (Feb. 2-6), four tradeshows will present the f/w 2011/12 collections of 2,400 international solidly established to up- and-coming designers.

Forward-looking as usual, Dansk Fashion and Textile, as well as the four major fairs have agreed to a closer cooperation. The ambition is to establish Copenhagen as Northern Europe’s leading fashion metropolis. Besides focusing on international buyers and media, organizers have planned a shuttle service between the shows and give visitors the possibility of personal guided tours.

Copenhagen Fashion Week organizes the official show venue at City Hall. Also at this place will be one of two live broadcast platforms which will offer a live-stream of the catwalk shows. The audience on the street as well as visitors can look forward to shows from brands like Bo Van Melskens, Boss Orange, Ecco, Patrick Mohr or Wood Wood.

Trade show CPH Vision will feature 145 exhibitors with 221 brands. The profile is focusing on Scandinavian design, feminine fashion and established designer brands but also on up-and-coming designers. In the historical Oksnehallen brands like Filippa K, Acne or H&M will get their space next to younger labels such as Royal Danish Ballet.

Gallery is also taking place again. The fair will show the strongest selection of design- driven Scandinavian brands. More than 260 exhibitors, for example Bruuns Bazaar, By Malene Birger or Tiger of Sweden will be featured there. Gallery has been expanding every time since the beginning of the fair in 2006, eight seasons ago. “Nowhere in the world can you experience all leading Scandinavian designers under the same roof,” Christian Gregersen says, founder and CEO of Gallery. Within the last five seasons, the fair has also been the biggest show presenter at Copenhagen Fashion Week with designers like Jil Sander, Marimekko, Preen or Minimarket. In order to continue with this tradition, ten labels, from Stine Goya to Soulland, will show their collections on the catwalk this time.

Terminal-2 offers an exclusive mix of Scandinavian and international brands. You can find everything from high-end heritage brands to urbanwear. Among 247 other brands, Nudie Jeans, True Religion or Selected will present their collections here, in a young and vibrant atmosphere.

CIFF Kids is taking place simultaneously to CIFF tradeshow. It will present the f/w trends 2011/12 for the children’s market from Feb. 3-6. Exhibitors like Denim Dragon, S.Oliver or Adidas will show their collections at the Bella Market.

We are sending a signal to the world that Copenhagen is the place when it comes to the combination of fashion and business,” says Peter Fenger Selchau, Managing Director of CPH Vision and Terminal-2.

The trade shows CPH Vision, Gallery and Terminal-2 will run Feb. 3-5 with opening hours from 10-7, and Saturday from 10-6.
