Sean John, the contemporary sportswear brand, has struck a deal with department store retailer Macy's, Inc. that will see its merchandise distributed exclusively at Macy’s 400 US stores and website as of S/S 11. Extensive Sean John sportswear shops will also be added to flagship stores, including Herald Square in New York, Union Square in San Francisco, State Street in Chicago, Dadeland in Miami and South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California, as the label ups its in-store experience with new in-store visuals, fixtures and non-traditional marketing programs. The move follows a steady revamp of its fashion offerings exclusive to Macy’s, such as Alfani, INC and Threads & Heirs. “I am overwhelmed and humbled by the recognition from such an iconic American retailer as Macy’s and we’re astounded by the opportunity that this exclusive deal gives the Sean John brand and all of our licensing partners,” said Sean Jean founder Sean Combs. “When I launched the Sean John brand over 11 years ago, we created the tag line ‘The Future of Fashion’and today as we are announcing this partnership, I truly believe the future has arrived.” The updated Sean John sportswear collection is expected to feature better fits and workmanship and wide assortment of wovens, knits, sweaters, tees, denim, vests, shorts and collection pants, outerwear, jackets and sport coats.
