The German fashion brand S.Oliver has announced that it will equip the current world heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko. He will debut as official brand ambassador of S.Oliver on the 26th of April 2014, during the world championship combat against Alex Leapai. For the kick-off of this sponsorship, Klitschko will wear branded combat trousers and jacket in the ring, while his support team is going to be equipped with S.Oliver clothing.

Prior to this combat, S.Oliver supported the champion and his team in all training sessions as well as during the media days from 8-9 April. The label has also branded the boxing ring with its logo at the champion’s gym in Going (Austria).

“Klitschko is an excellent partner and international ambassador in order to increase S.Oliver’s brand awareness, especially in our growth markets of Central and Eastern Europe" said S.Oliver CEO Reiner Pichler.

This is not the first sport sponsorship of the Rottendorf-based fashion brand. Among other activities, s.Oliver was the official and main sponsor of the Polish football club KKS Lech Poznan between 2010 and 2012. Since 2011, it is the official fashion partner of the FC Bayern Munich.
