Amazon has it and Ford has it, too. So does Alberto: the German denim brand has recently implemented Alexa in its retail store in Mönchengladbach, making this the very first German store to make use of Amazon’s language-controlled interaction system.
Alexa is pre-programmed for smart conversations. The Alexa software is located in a cyclic speaker box (Amazon Echo) and is controlled verbally. The language-driven interaction system answers questions about the current collection, styles, fits or the company history.
Alexa is to arouse emotions and create a special and sustainable shopping experience. “She” always wants to be addressed with "Alexa" and then proves to bevery talkative and eager to learn.
At present, the system is fed with sample information on pants and the Alberto brand. The company is already thinking about using the voice-controlled loudspeaker in its showrooms.
