Several fashion fairs in Paris escorted the menswear fashion week: New on the spot is the Tranoi Preview, a fair launched three month ago and situated in the former fashionweek center of Carrousel du Louvre. The initiator Armand Hadida could assemble about 100 brands for womenswear in this new offer, which has the claim to be the new location for younger brands and young designer, far away from the jeans, sportswear and basic collections. Hadida was quite satisfied with his first edition and focus on 300 brands for the next editions.

Tranoi Preview, like all the other fairs in Paris suffered in attendance relating to the bad weather in Paris. About 40% of flights were cancelled, train and metro and all automobile traffic were hit by the heavy snowfall. Also the biggest fair Who’s next, which was merged together with Prêt-à-Porter Paris in 2011 and has changed its name in October 2012 into Who’s next Paris,  had to struggle with a decline of visitors (no numbers have been published yet).

In this biggest European fashion fair assembled around 2,000 brands, exposed in five fair halls. After big efforts to improve the presentation, Who’s next reorganised once again the exposition map, concentrating all fashion offers in the halls around the central fairway and pool together all accessories brands in a separate hall. The visitors appreciated the removal of the street- and sportswear area Mr. Brown to the ground floor and new collaborations. Who’s next started a partnership with CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) to promote newcomer designers and amplified the programe of conferences about trends and e-commerce. Another new offer is the „Collab Store“ which is selling exclusive items designed by 30 brands exhibiting at the fair. The products will be available from February on the website

As noticed, the number of overseas exports actors has increased with +16.5% Asian buyers and +4.4% buyers from the American continent. The number of visitors from Europe remains mostly stable (-4.2%).
