The international textile trade show organizer Première Vision SA and CNR Holding Inc., leading organizer of trade shows in Turkey and manager of the CNR Expo Istanbul exhibition centre, have signed a partnership agreement for the creation and organisation of Première Vision Istanbul, a new biannual event in the Première Vision network, planned to begin from October 2014 and aimed at fashion professionals from Eastern Europe and the Middle East. A new company, created for the occasion that will be 51% controlled by Premiere Vision SA, and 49% by CNR Holding, will organize the new show.

The CNR Holding has managed the TexBridge show for the past several years and is now giving way to this new project. UTIB, the Uludag Textile Exporters Association of Turkey, a Texbridge partner, will continue to provide support to the new operation.

Première Vision Istanbul, whose first edition will be held from 29 - 31 October 2014 at the CNR Expo, will remain faithful to the positioning and identity of the Première Vision shows. The event will present a vast, quality offer of textiles and materials such as fabrics, yarns, accessories and services such as textile designs, selected by a committee of ad hoc industry professionals, and comprising both Turkish and international companies. Based on the Première Vision show concept, specific services and fashion information adapted to the area's markets will also be established.

Turkey was one of the countries where Première Vision had always thought of expanding to. The country, with its overall economy projected to grow by 4% by 2016, is today one of the most dynamic emerging countries, ideally situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. It is also an important player in the global fashion industry, thanks to a textile industry with a strong growth (16% of the Turkish industrial sector and the second leading export area) that is vertically integrated - from production of raw materials to garment manufacturing - and rich in manufacturing know-how.

Première Vision Istanbul has two main ambitions: to offer each season in the Turkish market another offspring of its premium textile shows and taking advantage of the power of attraction exerted on Eastern Europe and Asia by Istanbul as a regional fashion and market centre. Because of its impact and influence on the geographic area - including Russia and the Ukraine - Premiere Vision Istanbul is taking over from Première Vision Moscow, whose organisation is now suspended.

Première Vision, a subsidiary of the Association Première Vision and the GL Events Group, today organises 30 shows throughout the world. They organize 16 shows in France: five shows within Première Vision Pluriel (Expofil, Première Vision, Indigo, Modamont and Zoom) plus other different technical textile fairs such as Fatex, Made in France, Tissu Premier and Collections (in November and May in Lille, France). They also organize 14 additional international shows: Première Vision New York (in January and July), Indigo New York (in January, April and July); Première Vision Shanghai (in March and October); Première Vision Sao Paulo (in January and July); Première Vision Istanbul (in October and March); Indigo Brussels Home Edition (in September); and the leading show for jeans fabric, Denim by Première Vision (in November and May in Barcelona, Spain).

Since 1985, CNR Holding has been an events organiser in Turkey. Today it has expertise in over 40 sectors. At its exhibition space CNR Expo in Istanbul - the largest in Eurasia - the Turkish company hosts close to 50 international trade fairs each year, all of which benefit from its 150,000sqm surface area (in addition to nearly 120,000sqm outdoor area). The first Premiere Vision Istanbul rendezvous will be held on 29, 30 and 31 October 2014 (Autumn/Winter 2015/16 season), to be followed by 18, 19 and 20 March 2015 (Spring/Summer 2016 season) and 14, 15 and 16 October 2015 (Autumn/Winter 2016/17 season).
