The Swiss fashion house Philipp Plein has inaugurated a new showroom in the heart of New York. The luxury location with its breathtaking view of Central Park is the fourth showroom managed directly by the group together with the Milan, Düsseldorf and Hong Kong showrooms. The fashion house aims to conquer the US market, starting with New York through this two-floor attic which presents both the men’s and women’s collections.
The space was designed in collaboration with the Italian architecture studio Aquili Alberg, according to strong impact solutions. It actually hosts a maxi skull covered with Crystallized™- Swarovski Elements at the entrance and a huge Murano glass chandelier on the bright black staircase that connects the two floors.
“America today represents the most challenging market after Italy. We have been able to establish ourselves in Italy despite that fact we are a foreign brand. Now it will be very challenging and thrilling for us to conquer this market, too," commented Philipp Plein, creative mind and CEO of the brand. “Entering a huge metropolis such as New York ensures us that we will acquire top clients in the wholesale channel, and in the long-run consolidate the overall market, which will allow us to expand significantly in Southern America. In fact, we expect to inaugurate new mono-brand stores in New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, starting with Boston. Moreover, we also want to open shops-in-the-shop corners inside major department stores.”
