Now it is official. Panorama fair will move to the Messe Berlin fair grounds in the city’s Westend for its next installment in July of this year.

Panorama Berlin is opening a new chapter in order to satisfy increasing demand for exhibition space and ensure its continued success.. “With perfect infrastructure and easy access to public transportation, the downtwon location offers six halls, making it an excellent starting point for expanding our segments,” said Panorama’s management. The success of the most recent Panorama (January 14-16) with a total of 40,081 visitors (+11%) during the trade show convinced the management of the trade show event to take this step.

Dr. Christian Göke, CEO of Messe Berlin GmbH said “in a very short period of time, Panorama Berlin has grown to become a major part of Berlin Fashion Week. We are interested in actively supporting its further expansion and will continue the success story in early July under the roof of Berlin’s Funkturm.” Those attending the Panorama will continue to enjoy free shuttle service to all relevant hot spots during Berlin Fashion Week. Panorama CEO Jörg Wichmann already held a number of intensive talks with exhibitors during last week’s fair. Most exhibitors are coming down in favor of moving closer to the city. During the last event, Panorama’s current location at the as yet unfinished Berlin airport resulted in complaints about the distance to downtown, extended transit time and high cab expenses. Claudia Hagedorn of Keenon Fashion said: “A move to the city could result in more visitors once again.”

The idea to relocate seems promising. Alongside other fashion fairs, the successful Panorama could become an attractive destination for the mainstream market.
