Kicking off the three days of Munich Fabric start, the trade show is holding a panel discussion themed “How to build my sustainable brand from scratch to store” today at the Trend Seminars, Keyhouse, Hall 5 area.
The discussion will take place between 2-3pm and is moderated by Munich Fabric Start’s Panos Sofianos together with SPORTSWEAR INTERNATIONAL’s editor-in-chief Sabine Kühnl.
The discussion aims to explore options to refine each step of a brand’s supply chain and replace outdated technology.
In a first part, Isaac Nichelson of Recovertex and Carey Tricia of Lenzing will speak about the prospects of sustainable or recycled fibres.
Subsequently, Miguel Sanchez or Archroma and Andreas Venier of Officina+39 will explore alternative dying options.
Responsible manufacturing alternatives will then be discussed by Stefano Aldighieri of Arvind and Alberto Candiani of Candiani Denim.
That will be followed by Alice Tonello, owner of Tonello, and Salman Choudry of Odo Inc., speaking about energy/water and chemical saving treatment processes and Anton Lulken of Remo and Michelle Ruffin of Okinawa discussing the topic of transparent production processes as a whole. Finally Bert van Son will introduce the concept and functioning of his eco brand Mud Jeans as a benchmark.
See you later!
