Irish retailer Primark has moved on with its expansion in Germany by having opened two further stores. A store with 5,000sqm in Saarbrücken was opened yesterday on Bahnhofstrasse offering menswear, womenswear, kidswear, shoes, accessories and homewear. The company created 570 additional jobs in Saarbrücken. Moreover, Primark opened a store in Essen today which has a total sales floor of 8.400sqm on six floors.

Next to stores in Bremen, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Dortmund and Hanover, with the two new stores in Saarbrücken and Essen, Primark now has seven stores in Germany. Primark is a subsidiary of ABF and currently operates 229 stores in seven European countries.
