The Première Vision Pluriel (, the Paris fabrics, yarn and leather fair, was held from 18th to 21st September at Paris-Nord Villepinte, and a remarkable success. The final numbers showed an increase of visitors of 5,5 % in comparison to last September and a total of 47,374 visitors. Aswell, the number of foreign visitors was extremely high: 73 % of the professionals attending the Paris show came from outside of France, 36 % came from outside the European Union. The highest increase of international visitors came from China (+ 41 %), Austria (+ 33 %), Greece (+ 27 %) and Poland (+ 22 %).

International designers and buyers from the most important international fashion brands were showed at the fair for example Caroline Herrera, Kenzo, Gianfranco Ferré and Hennes & Mauritz.

As is the trend within the industry now, numerous weavers presented their new developments in ecological production. Just one of these was Toray Japan, who showed their first collection of recycled fabrics.
